About this event:
This year’s Frome Festival will run from Friday 5th July – Sunday 14th July, and celebrates the 200th anniversary of JW Singer whose foundry produced many famous iconic statues around the UK and the world, notably in London, with Boudica on the Embankment, and Justice on the Old Bailey. A whole range of events including exhibitions, workshops, walks, talks etc. have been planned.
This lively Somerset Festival will cover a wide range of arts, walks, talks, workshops and interests as ever. Perennial favourites include the Food Feast (Saturday 6th July), the Hidden Gardens (Friday 12th-Sunday 14th July), and the Open Studios. Headlining acts this year include Judge Jules, The Coral, and Scouting for Girls at the Cheese and Grain; Jethro at the Memorial Theatre, Miracle Theatre company at the Merlin, and events at churches, halls, and pubs throughout the town and surrounding villages. The brochures with the full line-up will be available at the beginning of May!
This year the Festival will present a Comedy Crawl for the first time. Comedians will be engaged to visit various bar or shop premises along Catherine Hill in rotation to expectantly awaiting audiences during the course of one evening.
