Wells Cathedral

An evening of music from one of the most exciting, richly varied and satisfying eras of music history for listeners and players alike. The Avison Ensemble (violins and theorbo) will be giving their first concert at Wells Cathedral, entitled Italian Sonatas from the Golden Age. 

The featured works, by Dairo Castello, Giovanni Battista Fontana, Alessandro Piccinini, Biagio Marini and Archangelo Corelli, are from the 16th and 17th centuries.

This is part of the Early Music Wells programme at Wells Cathedral.
