About this event:

Created by Dean Mortlock

The Brewhouse, Taunton

Following their acclaimed production of Oliver in 2018, TAOS (Taunton Amateur Operatic Society) are back with another show full of life and colour.

Based on T. S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the show is set among a larger-than-life junkyard, alive with feline characters full of personality. The cats come out to play on one special night of the year, when one by one they tell their stories to wise Old Deuternonomy, who must choose one of them to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new life.

The magnificent musical score composed by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, includes the poignant hit song Memory.
